Human Worth are proud to present the killer debut EP 'God Pile' from Leeds duo Grub Nap, featuring members of Dvne, Cattle, Thank with a portion of proceeds donated to charity.

“God Pile” is a golden brown, 15 minute, crumbly, introspective riff lattice. Snappy(ish) songs about greed, crippling anxiety, suburban nuclear mishaps and flagellant rozzers. 6 knuckle dragging clods of down tuned insolent rage. The band rustled up a sludge tape without any crusts, cut into neat triangles and served with a crescent of crisps. Recorded, mixed and mastered in 2022 at Hohm studio by Tom Goodall and Ross Halden. Art by Emma Stone, Natassia Wild and Steve Myles. Abject misery by all of you lot.
Human Worth have pressed up a limited edition of 100 cassettes, with 10% of all proceeds donated to Leeds Mind, promoting positive mental health and wellbeing and providing help and support to those who need it most.

Includes unlimited streaming of God Pile via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

Closerer 02:36
I Spit at your satellite grace (Forever) Thump chaos into your immortals (Salivate) Gripes settled in front of your faces (Unsettled) Hair meshes the grill of the plug hole Drek Drek I bicker better while the steam sits still Take a swig of iodine then gargle and exhale Churn Is the door locked Are we safe? Can’t find my keys, Can’t find the strength To crush a kingdom To crawl to shelter To resolve a misstep and shoulder through To put their lights out To ask forgiveness To brave the squalor And better anyone at all Right away Defy them Defy them Defy them Or wither

Been feeling queasy since I’ve been working from home The neighborhood dogs and cats have all lost their coats Number 10 Are doing well, they have their TV on full blast They’re doing loads of washing and they don’t even work now Wonder what that glow is Shining out From under the tree house Ceramic pellets crammed into stickle bricks Fuel rods stuck together using pva Little Billy has a wild look as he trembles Under the power he’s created Sticky back, Uranium Sticky back, Uranium

Most people I care for Are struggling and flailing Or at best are devoid of all hope We’re self medicating Cos we’ve been abandoned Over indulging and undiagnosed Hostile environment Make sure to fill your quota Give us this day Our daily phet So we can exist in this trap Every year, We bury more of us Every time, We drink to the dead We squash our minds, So we can exist In this hostile, environment

Tin Banshee 03:18
When the foundations are rumbling (Wailing) Beams of blue tear through the curtains (So lambant) You spin your blades into an infernal loop (Wailing) Shine the lights Follow the lights Escape the lights Harbinger of mischief Heat seeking arm of justice When there’s death you’ll be wailing Always protecting profit Pat the ground down for its secrets (Hidden) Keeping one ear on the scanner (Lost signals) Make sure to take your cut of the contraband (Full pockets) Shine the light Follow the light Worship the light Harbinger of mischief Heat seeking arm of justice Swallowed by the billowing darkness The chase becomes your mother Rotary sigil Burned into your mind The rumbling offering Brings you to your gods Protect and carve Draped in oil soaked rags You kneel on ball bearings Douse yourself in contact spray And give yourself to your masters While the whole world is oblivious (Hidden) Your secret tryst will bring you comfort (So lambent) You’ll let them know when there’ll be an offering (Wailing) Bless the light Love the light You are the light

Wire Mother 02:34
Swilling, retching, creaking Focus, shifting, completely No sense of time, I am a shade Tendons, wither, and unfurl Jumping, at your, movements A harsh reset, all milk and wires There’s no option for comfort There’s just consumption Help me cling to this blood bag I have to pretend To be vital to someone Don’t need much, just need your time Just jump on in, The water’s foul Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, Stall a moment Help me unravel these tubes cos I need to unwind Air taps my shoulders, this is my construct The cheapest of blows, twists in my gut I leave it to rot, And cram in another For a handful of moments, I am a shade Close the loop or you’ll come undone Even if you don’t think, you havethe chance No one can, pull you back A brand new phase Of endless chaos I stutter and wait for you
6.
I’ll never be good enough To be your mate But that’s alright with me Cos it looks fucking exhausting The patter is venomous Your elitist construct Forms a yoke around your neck While you watch your kings disappoint themselves Wretched are the best Gather all your friends See how we exist Whether you pretend we do or not Grout furls Close the blinds Trip over the top step and do yourself a mischief Only jokes Fill Your Throat
